On Saturday I shot Hounds. These are some of my favorite outtakes from the day. Later I saw them play at The Queen of Hoxton - they didn't disappoint. A very talented bunch indeed.

Jemma and Gerry.
Jemma and Gerry are Elevens. Gerry is my x and Jem is my sister. Well, not my real sister. My real sister Jacqui and I call her the black sheep or my surrogate sister. Jem and I share a home together in Dalston and on Saturday we transformed our lounge into a studio.
I've been dying to use this red Colorama for years! It was about to get chucked from the photography studio next to Gerry's work about 2 years ago, but he managed to salvage it for me. It seemed appropriate I use it for this shoot. Plus, red is such an exciting colour and I think what Elevens are doing musically is really exciting. I'm also obsessed with Rhianna's 'Only Girl in the World' clip - director Anthony Mandler's work is stunning. Yep, it's all about the red at the moment.
I've always loved painting, so any opportunity to get my fingers covered in the stuff is welcomed. Jean-Michel Basquiat is one of my favourite artists. I missed his show in Paris. I hope it comes to London. Yeah. He influenced the 11 splattered background.
I've shot Jem and Gerry a few times, but this has been the best shoot to date. I'll add a link to their website when it's live. Their music will blow you away. In the meantime, here's their Facebook Page.
